Jim Lehrer: The NewsHour an alternative to the CBS Evening News, ABC World News and NBC Nighty News
Hi everyone, first I want to say happy thanksgiving to all of you. I hope ya had fun, ate and drink. Well not to much. Over the last few days. I've been watchin The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS. Now those who do not who is Jim Lehrer. I'm gonna tell ya because this is how I make my money. Jim Lehrer is an newsman. He and his partner Robert MacNeil covered Watergate for PBS in 1974. In 1975 they both starred in The Robert MacNeil Report for WNET. It mainly focused on one story/topic. Sort of like Nightline. A few months after its was renamed The MacNeil/Lehrer Report. In 1983 it was renamed The MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour. The first and only evening news that is still to this day one hour. In 1995 Robert MacNeil retired and was renamed to its current name The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. It offers more in depth analysis then any of the three networks. It's combines the elements CBS Evening News with the most successful newsmagazine 60 Minutes. The NewsHour is a wonderful news program and and The NewsHour gives us the news that we need to know. So I encourage you to watch The NewsHour. It's on every weeknight at 6:00pm on WLIW 21 and at 7:00pm on WNET 13. From the American Archive of TV an interview with Jim Lehrer. CNN's legendary figure Bernard Shaw dubbed him the "Dean of Moderators" for covereing 10 presidental debates. This is part 3: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5528380488661809638 part 4 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2488687940835899487 part 5 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8005206259547986561 and Jim Lehrer on today's broadcast journalism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhEyP4BZKio I hope all of you watch The NewsHour. Trust me you would like it. A part of our world for tonight. For the post I'm Christopher good night. See you again soon.

Dan Rather Reports
Hi guys how are you doing? I hope all is well. Welcome to the post. As you know I been posting not only blogs on what I eat and certain clips on stories that deal with the media and other issues that the major news networks would air 60 Minutes is the only expection to this rule. Over the last few weeks I've watching clips online from HDnet's news series Dan Rather Reports. Which debut in 2006. As u well know Dan Rather is the former anchorman of the CBS Evening News from 1981-2005. The Killian Reports is the news story that questioned our 'good' presdient Bush. You notice how loosely I used the term good. I go on and on bout Bush. However I save that another post. Dan Rather Reports is a very good news program. Sadly I don't have HDNet bummer online. Here are now Clips from Dan Rather Reports. A conservation with Democratic strategist James Carville discuss the state of politics http://www.hd.net/drr236.html Dan Rather on U.S. involvement in Africa http://www.hd.net/drr235.html Dan Rather: Is the U.S. Constitution in Question http://www.hd.net/danratherconst.html and The Prime Minister in Exlie and a conversation with NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9015261229291819088 Watch these clips and comments. I love to hear your thoughts. Have a great day everyone.

Planet in Peril
Museum Trip
Pollantants from the humans the burning of coal realases nirogen /sulfur into the atmosphere. They show up as greater compounds in the glacier. Since the 19th century (1800s) the coal/sulfur pollutants became more evident. This impacts the earth by emitting more carbon dixioide gases into the atmosphere in which it holds more of the sun rays the ultraviolet in which is causes the temputare of the earth to go up and in turn melts the ice caps and leave the sulur and carbon residue.
The next exbhit we went is the Humans Origins: Reconsutions faces from Fossils.
Logos: good infomation, well organized in telling how do scienist reshape the faces from fossils.

My Bio-Intro
I’m the most fun-loving, laid back and crazy-unique that you would ever meet. My hobbies are playing video games, computers, watching TV, listen to the music, chilling, hanging out and enjoying life. I love Hip-hop, rap, R&B, jazz, reggae, Spanish music. My favorite music artists are Busta Rhymes, DMX, Jay-Z, Mary J. Beige, TLC, R. Kelly, and Sean Paul.
My major at LaGuardia is Media Studies. What I like most about media is to learn and find out how the media affects our life and the different modes of media. Mediums such as TV, Radio, Internet and books. My heroes in Television are CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, CBS News 60 Minutes Mike Wallace and Ed Bradley Jr.
My goals are in life is well to become a TV historian. I fell that we as a people forgotten the people, reporters and shows that shape our world of Television. As a Television gate keeper I can tell everyone how people like All of the Family creator Norman Lear, CBS News 60 Minutes Mike Wallace, CNN’s international reporter Christiane Amanpour, CBS News 60 Minutes Ed Bradley, and ABC News Peter Jennings. Just some of the names of the people that shape our world not just only journalism and as television as well. I hope you enjoy my introduction on my self. I will end it just like the great CBS Evening News Walter Cronkite ends. “And that’s the way it is for Tuesday September 11, 2007 good night”.
